Summary: The UPA regime finds itself on the backfoot: damaging allegations against Robert Vadra, a Prime Minister whose authority and clout is rapidly diminishing, and a sinking economy spell doom for its electoral fortunes. Sonia Gandhi, however, is undeterred. Perhaps she has an ace up her sleeve. With her man Friday, Ahmed Patel, she prepares the reluctant Rahul Gandhi to take over as number two.
A thousand kilometers away, an ambitious Chief Minister sits in his spartan Gandhinagar office, and ponders about the various obstacles in his path to the top – an estranged mentor, an aggressive media and his own controversial past. With his right hand man, Amit Shah, he then begins to draw the contours of a strategy…
Unbeknownst to these two warring teams, in a non-descript office in Kolkata, socialist Prakash Karat embarks upon a mission to disrupt the best laid plans of the two principal parties.
Then there’s the small matter of a masked vigilante…
How these narratives converge in a stunning climax forms the story of Unreal Elections.

Reader review 1 on Amazon.in:
Never has such a funny book been written on Indian Politics. The author takes jab at everyone involved from Kejriwal to Laluji. Jokes on Manmohan Singh were by far the best. Fake facebook conversations, Sanjay Jha’s stupidity this book has it all. You cannot read this book without giggling at the satirical jokes. Kudos to the authors! Must buy ! No Page is boring. Reader review 2 on Amazon.in:
Just got this book the day before I was to go an a travel. To and fro flights were all it took to finish the book, but man.. my co-passengers were left puzzled looking at me, while I was chuckling all the time, at times trying hard to not burst into laughter! Not a continuous storyline or plot, but the events as they have been presented with a definite level of “exaggeration” just adds too much to the fun. Very well written! (by Sumit Kumar)
Reader review 1 on Flipkart.com:

Reader review 2 on Flipkart.com:
What a book!! What a book!!! I was laughing every alternate sentence for practically the entire book!! You definitely need to “know” a lot of things before you read this book. I mean you need to be aware of events that happened prior to the Indian elections in 2014. But if you do, there’s nothing funnier in the book. The climax, which I shall not reveal, was amazing!!! Reader review on Goodreads.com:
Absolutely brilliant. Virtually impossible to put down. This is the first non-Wodehouse that I’ve laughed so hard at. Pay close attention, this is no cheap thrill. The concluding chapter(s) contains an important message. Generations hence will marvel at this book and be surprised that a general election could’ve been held with the political class so mocked.
